PANJIM: A former Director of Archaeology Department and ex-sub registrar of Bardez are amongst fresh suspects in Goa Police’s ongoing probe into massive land grabbing cases reported across the State.
Besides the two, whose identities have not been disclosed to the media; Luiza Fernandes, Caitano Fernandes, Meena Ramakant Naik and others from Durgabhat-Ponda are named in a fresh First Information Report (FIR) by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). More details are awaited even as the SIT confirmed that no arrests were made so far.
The SIT made its first arrest in the case – Vikrant Shetty – who is currently in police custody while 60-70 similar offences are suspected to have occurred in North Goa.
