MARGAO: Judicial Magistrate First Class Shilpa Pandit on Wednesday heard arguments of a town-based lawyer, who has filed the case against the government of Goa with regards to fish laced with formalin found at the Margao wholesale fish market last year and asked the SP South to file written arguments while posting the matter to August 9.
When the matter came up for hearing on Wednesday, the State was not represented by the special public prosecutor, who was supposed to be present and the representative SP South informed the court that the special PP has not yet been appointed and sought time to present their arguments.
SP South has been directed to file written arguments by the next hearing scheduled on August 9.
