PANJIM: Directorate of Fisheries has implemented Centrally Sponsored Schemes under Blue Revolution wherein financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiary.
Under the schemes, general category beneficiaries will get 40 per cent subsidy of unit cost and ST/SC/women beneficiaries will get 60 per cent subsidy on unit cost.
The schemes and number of units proposed under them are: Scheme for motorisation of traditional craft (OBM) (48 units), FRP boats and insulated fish holding boxes (20 units), Open sea cage culture (120 units), insulated truck (4 units), Motorcycle with ice box (20 units), Cages in reservoirs (12 units), Construction of new ponds (3 units), Input cost for fish culture (1 unit), Renovation of existing pond (4 unit), Input cost for BW fish/shrimp culture (5 unit), Rejuvenation of urban/semi-urban/rural lakes/tanks for fish culture (20 units), Crafts and gear (20 units), Mobile fish retail outlet (4 units).
Application forms will be available at Fisheries complexes at Cutbona, Colva, Chapora, Vasco, BDO at Canacona, Mormugao, Ponda, Bardez, Pernem and Directorate of Fisheries, Panjim.
