Flaming Oranje, Camilo Bros & SFX Chicalim prevail

PANJIM: Flaming Oranje, Camilo Brothers, SFX Chicalim advanced in the Aisao Cup futsal tournament, organised by Batista Family, in memory of Assuncao (Aisao) Batista, Majorda at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, on Saturday.
In the first match, Flaming Oranje thumped Mumbai’s Wadala FC 5-1. Mumbai started brightly with quick passing making it difficult for Flaming Oranje in the initial stages. The Mumbai side took the lead early in the game when Karthik smashed from distance.
 Flaming Oranje were caught off-guard but a tactically switch from coach Seby saw the side get back in the game. 
Flaming Oranje made it all-square through Lloyd. The teams were tied 1-1 at the break. 
Crossing over, Flaming Oranje were all over the rival half and scored two quick goals through Joel and Lloyd who completed his brace. Wadala were totally outplayed as the outstation team couldn’t match their opponents. Finally, Flaming scored their fourth of the day through Krishna before Lloyd scored the team’s fifth.
In another match, Camilo Brothers struggled to beat Late Bloomers FC. The teams started on equal note as Sukhvinder Singh controlled the game with Gavin Araujo for the Late Bloomers. 
However, they failed to take their chances as Gavin was denied twice by the rival keeper before Camilo struck once before the break. In the second half, Camilo Brothers scored their second.
In the day’s other matches, Limon FC were stunned by SFX Chicalim 2-1 while A3 SFX Fatorda trounced Pappe 6-3.
The semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday.
