PERNEM: Calangute police have booked a case of unnatural death on Friday after an unknown male foreigner drowned off Calangute Beach.
According to Calangute police, Drishti lifeguard noticed that a foreign national has become unconscious while swimming at Calangute Beach.
The lifeguard immediately ventured into water and brought him to the shore and further shifted him to Primary Health Centre, Candolim, where the doctors declared him brought dead. Identity of the foreign national is yet to be known. However, his age is ascertained to be between 55 to 60 years. PSI Vishal Mandrekar is investigating.
