MARGAO: Forest Minister Vijai Sardesai along with Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco and Forest Department officials inspected a site for tree plantation to be taken up during the vanmahotsav.
Deputy Conservator of Forests Anil Shetgaonkar, Raia sarpanch, deputy sarpanch, Margao Municipal Council officials and others were present.
The forest minister informed the officials that he’s working to create an urban forest. The team visited the MMC property near Sonsoddo. The land is undertaking tree plantation activity on vanmahotsav on Sunday. “We had gone to identify the site for Shahar Van Project where we intend to undertake vanmohatsav on Sunday,” said Forest Minister Vijai.
