VASCO: Former Dabolim Block Congress president and ex-Chicalim Sarpanch Anacleto D’Souza along with his wife panchayat member Veronica and supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho welcomed D’Souza and his supporters into the BJP at a function held at New Vaddem, Vasco.
Godinho said that Anacleto D’Souza was his friend and was with him till 2012 polls. But due to some difference which he is still unaware of, they chose different ways till the time he chose to join the BJP, which is a party of inclusive growth. He said D’Souza’s joining will strenghthen the BJP further in Dabolim constituency.
D’Souza said that he was a strong worker of Godinho and always worked closely with him.
He said that he did not want to talk about the past and want see about the future where development works are being taken up in the constituency.
