PERNEM: Pernem police arrested four persons for taking half-naked video of two minors, a boy and a girl and blackmailing them.
According to police, the father of the minors lodged a complaint that some young boys took half-naked video of his minor children and were blackmailing them, while also making the video viral on WhatsApp app.
As per the information received from Pernem police, the incident took place two years ago, when some boys from Palyem, Pernem trespassed into complainant’s house and made their minor children naked and then took their video and also assaulted the minor boy.
The accused also took video of minor girl but kept it saved in their phones. But since both the minors were scared they did not inform about this to their parents.
The accused then started blackmailing them saying that they will upload the video on What’sapp and make it viral for last two years. In this period of two years, the minor boy even tried to commit suicide by consuming phenyl.
Pernem police arrested Dipak alias Vishnu Naik who is currently under seven days police custody. They also arrested Suryakant Naik, Amar Tilve and Yashwant Tilve who were also found involved in the crime. Police also said that there are more people who have seen the videos and are blackmailing the complainant of making it viral.
Further investigation is in progress by PSI Parag Parekh under supervision of PI Uttam Raut.
