Four file nominations for South Goa Lok Sabha seat

MARGAO: The filing of nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in South Goa has seen four candidates officially entering the race. Rubert Pereira of the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) filed his nomination papers on Thursday, joining the fray alongside candidates from other parties.

Previously, on Wednesday, Captain Viriato Fernandes, representing the I.N.D.I.A alliance, and Quepem resident Alexy Fernades had submitted their nominations. BJP candidate Pallavi Dhempe had been the first to file her papers.

Rubert Pereira was accompanied by MLA Viresh Borkar, North Goa candidate Manoj Parab, and other RGP members. Borkar spoke about RGP’s commitment to representing the concerns of all Goans and protecting the State’s cultural integrity in the face of demographic changes.
