PANJIM: Crime branch team arrested four youth including a Maharashtra native in Margao for matka gambling activities.
According to police, Crime Branch team laid a trap on Friday near the Old Market in Margao and arrested Vithoba Ramchandra Gaude, aged 35 years, native of Changad in Maharashtra and currently staying at Madel in Margao. The accused was found involved in gambling activity.
Police informed that the accused was using the space as a common gaming place and also seized Rs 24,350 which was found in his possession, Police also arrested Francisco Figueredo, resident of Verna and Santosh Kamble and Camilo Coelho, both residents of Margao, while betting at the place.
