MARGAO: The panchayat members of Benaulim, Colva, Orlim and Cavelossim have decided to meet the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) officials and seek three more months of time for completing their Coastal Zone Management Plans (CZMPs).
The Benaulim panchayat on Thursday adopted a resolution on CZMP. And Capt Venzy Viegas, the representative of Citizens for Coastal Communities, visited all the four villages to compile the memorandum and streamline the findings of the villagers.
Meanwhile, the Carmona panchayat has submitted its preliminary findings to the GCZMA.
Unsatisfied with the plans prepared by a Chennai-based agency, most of the coastal villages have begun preparing their own plans.
