VASCO: Vasco police arrested a youth for allegedly stabbing another on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at around 2.30 am. Three other accused in the matter are still at large.
Vasco police said that, a group of four people had gone to eat snacks near the Vasco railway station. However, the victim was served snacks before the group of four. Annoyed at this, one of the four allegedly stabbed the victim Pranav Bharade (25), a resident of Zuarinagar; another youth Mulayam Singh Yadav (24), also from Zurainagar, also sustained injury to his hand. Pranav Bharade was referred to Goa Medical College and Hospital and underwent surgery.
The arrested accused is identified as Pramod Toraskar from Rumadawada. The other three, namely, Pankaj Naik, Prakash Kambli and Yogesh Pratil are absconding. Vasco police have registered offence under Section 504, 506(ii) & 324 of IPC.
