Free legal aid clinic opens in Panjim

PANJIM: The Goa Foundation has announced the re-opening of a free legal aid clinic in Panjim from Monday. The clinic is open to all persons fighting environmental causes in their villages and municipalities.
Goa Foundation volunteers man the clinic, listen to people’s complaints, write RTI letters which people can send to departments, and otherwise assist people with ways and means they can use to solve environmental problems.
In the past, the clinic has taken up various issues.
At the moment, the free clinic operates from 4 pm to 7 pm every Monday. Depending upon demand, it is proposed to have the same on Friday as well.
The free legal clinic operates from Adhar office, next to Ghazali restaurant, close to Municipal Garden, Panjim. People wanting legal aid can call 9325411377 to inform they are coming for assistance. The volunteers will then wait for them.
