GCET deferred for third time, now on July 11, 12

PANJIM: The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) conducted for admissions to professional degree courses, is deferred for the third time and is now scheduled on July 11-12. The postponement is in view of the JEE Main Exam scheduled from June 20 to 29. 

Earlier, scheduled for May 11 and 12, the test was postponed to June 27 and 28. 

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will conduct the test for Physics and Chemistry on July 11 and Mathematics paper is scheduled on July 12. The admission for the test will commence from May 23 and go till June 10. 

The DTE has said that the candidates aspiring for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy courses in State need to appear at GCET 2022. 

The GCET is conducted for screening of aspirants to the Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) courses.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will on May 21 declare class XII Board result. A total of 5,077 students from Science stream have answered the exams.
