MARGAO: Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has directed the Tourism Department to immediately suspend and stop the operation of shacks and huts erected on the Majorda-Utorda beach in violation of CRZ Notification 2011 as well as the Tourism policy for erection of Temporary seasonal structures, beach shack huts and others 2013-16. GCZMA Member Secretary Srinet Kothawale has further directed the Tourism Director to submit a compliance report by January 11 as the authority has directed the tourism department to get the illegal shacks and huts removed.
