PANJIM: The Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) has expelled its former general secretary and executive committee member Sandip G S Borkar from its working committee and also terminated his membership for anti-association activities.
GGEA president Prashant Devidas said that Borkar defamed the name and fame of the association by misusing the property of the association and allegedly prepared bogus letters and deliberately indulged in anti-propaganda of the association before various government departments.
Devidas said that even after diving enough opportunity to Borkar to defend himself, he failed to prove himself innocent and found guilty for his anti-association act.
Meanwhile, the GGEA in its fortnightly meeting held on July 22, unanimously elected Sameer L Nagvekar as general secretary while, Suvarna S Bhandari and Subhash Naik respectively were elected treasurer and secretary III.
