PANJIM: Nearly 200 Medical College students on Friday skipped classes to attend “Genesis 2013” an intercollegiate cultural event organised by the Goa Medical Students Association incidentally without the permission and knowledge of college authorities.
“Students had only approached me asking for a holiday, which I could not give,” Dean Dr V N Jindal said indicating that the students association had organised the event keeping the management in the dark.
The event which was held at SAG grounds, Campal, saw the medical students skipping classes en masse.
It is not known what action, if any, will be initiated against the students and what exactly caused the students to keep the management in the dark.
