R D Asnodkar’s 74 not out and Amit Yadav’s 3 for 22 enabled Goa to beat Hyderabad by 7 wickets in 1-day South Zone S Pillay cricket at Palakkad on Tuesday.
Goa won the toss and elected to field. They bowled out Hyderabad for 158 runs for 10 in 45.4 overs.
Hyderabad’s Benjamin Thomas hit the highest 45 off 64 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. T Suman 21 off 58 balls with 3 fours. D B Ravi Teja 20 off 61 balls with 1 four. Extras: 20. Fall: 1-54, 2-55, 3-80, 4-123, 5-134, 6-147, 7-154, 8-155, 9-156, 10-158.
In reply, Goa achieved the target scoring 162 for the loss of 3 wickets in 39.5 overs. R D Asnodkar hit a good 74 not out off 85 balls with 8 fours and 1 six. The other contributors were V U Naik 15 off 42 balls with 1 four, Swapnil Asnodkar 14 off 32 balls with 1 four, R V Keni 2 off 18 balls, Reagan Pinto 37 not out off 64 balls with 4 fours. Extras: 20.
