Pernem police arrested a German tourist and a Kashmiri in separate cases on charges of possessing drugs worth a combined value of Rs 85,000.
According to reports, police arrested the German tourist, Peter Salthav and seized 8 grammes of MDM and 30 grammes of charas worth Rs 50,000 at Arambol on Monday evening.
Police also found out that the visa of the German tourist had expired in 2009.
He has been arrested on charges of drug possession and overstaying in the country.
In the second incident, Pernem police arrested Rafique Gani Barramulla of Kashmir near a restaurant at Arambol on Monday evening on charges of possessing 204 grammes of charas worth Rs 35,000.
