The bail petition filed by arrested Goa Police Head Constable Arun Desai at a Belgaum court was rejected on Thursday.
It may be recalled that Desai along with four others were arrested by Belgaum police in a drug trafficking case last week.
According to sources, Desai has high-handed contacts in Goa and some senior advocates from Goa had reportedly contacted their counterparts here in an attempt to seek his bail.
