Goa Court Denies Prisoner’s Plea for Eid Articles in Colvale Jail

The North Goa Additional Sessions Court has rejected an application filed by Siddique alias Suleman Khan, who had sought permission to receive specific religious articles and clothing while lodged at Colvale Jail ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

The accused had approached the court requesting access to certain items to observe the festival in accordance with his religious practices. However, the court dismissed the plea, though the detailed reasoning behind the decision was not immediately known.
