Panaji: The Bombay High Court has granted anticipatory bail to a Junior Scale Officer of the Goa Civil Service in connection with a sexual assault case registered in October 2025.
The case was filed by the North Goa Women Police Station, based on allegations that the officer sexually assaulted a woman under the pretext of a false promise of marriage.

According to sources, a chargesheet has already been filed in the matter, and the investigation has progressed to the next stage of legal proceedings.
While granting anticipatory bail, the High Court took into consideration the facts of the case and the stage of the investigation. Further hearings and trial proceedings are expected to follow as the case moves ahead in court.
