PANJIM: Goa has been featured in the Atlas Choices’ 10 of the Best Winter Sun Locations of the World along with the ‘Most Popular Domestic Destination this Winter’ by Winter Vacation Value Report released by Trip Advisor.
“Popular with both domestic and international tourists, Goa has a lot going for it. It’s hot, has gorgeous coastlines, and is rich in religious and architectural heritage. You’ll never forget your time here,” Atlas said about Goa.
Atlas Choice has listed several locations for their culture, entertainment and weather. Goa is among other top locations including Cape Town, Melbourne, Barbados, Miami, St Kitts, Punta Cana, Santiago, Tenerife and Boracay Island.
Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar said the endeavour to make Goa a 365-day holiday destination is getting better with weather conditions favouring tourism campaigns. “Goa is now not only being endorsed as a summer and monsoon holiday destination but one for the winter as well,” he said.
He stated that from November to January, Goa has a number of activities, events and festivals. “Inclusion in Atlas Choice 10 best winter sun locations of the world is indeed a huge honour,” he said.
