On Tuesday, SP Traffic Akshat Kaushal reiterated the paramount importance that the Goa Police places on tackling cases involving individuals driving or riding while under the influence of alcohol or other substances. He emphasized the police force’s unwavering commitment to promptly addressing such incidents. Kaushal underscored the consistent and dedicated endeavours undertaken to effectively combat drunk driving, with a firm intention to sustain these initiatives.
In line with this, he highlighted that regular surprise inspections will be carried out at various locations to ensure a vigilant approach. Moreover, Kaushal highlighted the proactive involvement of the Goa Police in conducting awareness programs within schools and colleges. These programs serve as a platform for engaging with students, imparting knowledge about traffic signals and regulations, and fostering a deeper understanding of responsible road behaviour.
