Goa, Sindhudurg police hold meet ahead of Assembly polls

PANJIM: The District police teams of North Goa and Sindhudurg held coordination meeting on Saturday ahead of the upcoming 2022 elections of the Goa Assembly. 

The meeting discussed the safety measures as the State and the neighbouring district are witnessing huge influx of tourists. 

“The meeting was held to ensure smooth and efficient coordination between the two district police teams in the wake of ongoing tourism and upcoming elections in Goa,” said North Goa Superintendant of Police Shobhit Saxena. 

The Sindhudurg police added that they are working in synch to provide support and safety to the locals of Goa and Maharashtra. 

Goa has been recording massive arrivals of domestic tourists as international visitors are expected to arrive from mid-Dec. Similarly, Sindhudurg, which has also been a popular tourist hub.
