BICHOLIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) has announced that the party would contest both the Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming Parliamentary elections and 35 seats in the Assembly election.
GSM Chief Subhash Velingkar made the announcement during a party melava held at Shirodkar Hall in Bicholim on Friday, attended by a large number of activists.
Claiming that he was the main person in BJP to make it a ruling party by working hard from dawn to dusk, Velingkar said that GSM along with likeminded people is all set to fight against BJP.
“BJP has forgotten its basic principles, morals and everything for the sake of money; and we have only one intention to dethrone the party,” Velingkar said.
He said that BJP has betrayed the people of Goa on different issues like mother tongue, employment, mining, corruption and it has failed to protect girl students of Goa from getting addicted to drugs which are found even in the bags of girls studying in Cujira complex at Bambolim.
“BJP is fooling the mining dependents as its leaders have not made any attempts to restart mining in Goa. All the three MPs in Goa do not have the credibility at the Centre due to which they cannot even can fix an appointment of mining dependents with the Prime Minister to sort out this issue,” Velingkar said.
