Concern is rising in Goa after a suspected case of water contamination triggered a diarrhoea outbreak at the Prabhu Violetta Complex, prompting hundreds of residents to stage a protest.
According to locals, nearly 200–300 residents have reported symptoms of diarrhoea, raising serious concerns over public health, sanitation, and the safety of the water supply in the complex.

Frustrated by the situation, residents have urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho to personally visit the site and take immediate action.
The protesters are demanding urgent testing of the water supply, improved sanitation measures, and accountability from the concerned authorities to prevent further spread of illness. They have also called for swift intervention to restore safe and hygienic living conditions in the area.
Health concerns continue to mount as residents await official response and corrective measures.
