Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has declared that 95% of the benefits from the Goa Taxi App will go to the taxi operators. 5% of the money will go towards creating a pension or welfare fund. No profits will accrue to the govt, he clarified. Asked about Ola and Uber he said he does not want to take the risk after what happened in Karnataka. The App will be multimodal, Mauvin disclosed and will be operational by New Year.
Goa Taxi App curated by GEL will be operational from 1 January 2023
