The historic Old Secretariat building in Goa is reportedly facing serious structural deterioration, raising concerns over the safety of staff, media personnel and visitors. The heritage structure has developed large cracks, heavy water seepage and signs of decay, including rotting wooden roof beams. Corroded metal and weakened sections have further added to the concerns. Iron props have reportedly been installed along corridors as temporary support for sagging portions of the building.
