“As far as this plant is concerned sequential matching C-Tech Technology was first used in Tonca sewage plant and it became like a pilgrimage where people came to see the tech. These plants have same technology and will purify sewage water to levels of even portable drinking water like purity,” Parrikar said.
On Salcete, the chief minister said, “Support of Goans is very important in all ways and I will connect to people in all ways possible. I will urge people not to oppose for the sake of it and to be optimistic. As far as development is concerned, Salcete will never be discriminated by the Government because we don’t go by voting percentage but believe that Governments don’t form by frog leaps. Respecting mandates and working towards a majority mandate is most important to us and will keep serving people in the same zeal. Government expects your support” Parrikar urged the people.
While Avertano said that he was grateful to CM and the PWD Minister for the plant, MMC Chairperson Babita Angle said she was happy that now the inauguration of plant would stop the problem of sewage of Margao.

Meanwhile, Sudin said, “We had promised to complete this work two years ago and we fulfilled our promise. This is our attempt to solve the problem of sewage and the chief minister has helped me a lot in that.”
Taking a dig at the previous Congress government, Sudin said, “In 2006, we had inaugurated this work. I don’t want to speak what culminated intermediate, but Churchill called me and asked why we did not call him. I only said only 10% work of JICA is pending and before March 2018 we want to finish all JICA work in Goa.”
