PONDA: Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Saturday said the BJP government failed to understand and fulfil the expectations of people of Goa.
He said, “This government failed to provide immediate relief to flood-affected people whose houses are collapsed. The flood victims lost everything in the flood. Several became homeless, the students lost their books but they got only assurances. The politicians who have no sentiments for the poor have no right to rule.”
He recalled that when similar type flood occurred at Canacona in 2009 he had set up Collector Office in rural area and provided immediate financial relief.
He criticised the BJP government for collapsed law and order and increasing cases of atrocities and rapes on women across the State.
