MAPUSA: The Calangute Constituency Forum along with residents of Sautawado and Khobrawado, Calangute staged protest highlighting the issue of bad condition of Baga-Calangute road.
Blaming the authorities for the bad condition of roads in Baga, Calangute Constituency Forum President Premanand Diukar said, ”Its been eight years now that sewerage project work is going on and due to the same the Baga road sinks or caves in during every monsoon causing inconvenience to the local residents. Every now and then the water pipeline bursts. Since last two months, the residents here have not received water supply.”
“Looks like the authorities are asleep or pretending to be sleep since even after writing letters, submitting memorandum and even coming on the streets, the problem has remained as it is,” said Diukar.
