MARGAO: Congress MLAs Digambar Kamat and Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco have alleged that the government hijacked and bulldozed the entire Monsoon session by disallowing several important issues pertaining to South Goa.
Addressing a press conference in Margao, the duo claimed that they successfully got the government to discuss 40-45 starred and 200 ustarred questions during the session.
“The prominent question was on the district hospital, especially the morgue. On these issues, we made the minister to speak. If they say that health is fundamental right, then why not for South Goa?” questioned Digambar.
When asked why there has been a delay in completion of the work, Digambar said, “New tender of Rs 90 crore has just been made and the previous contractor has left the work. They are delaying may be because I will get credit for the work.”
