PANJIM: The State government on Monday increased the annual recurring fees for the casinos by 10 per cent and allowed them to pay the same on monthly pro-rate basis for the financial year 2022-23.
As per the notification issued by the Under Secretary Home Pritidas Gaonkar, the annual recurring fees for the financial year 2022-2023 shall be calculated on monthly pro-rata basis and the payment thereof shall be made on or before the 5th day of the month commencing from April, 2022 till September, 2022.

The notification also said that proportionate Annual Recurring Fees for the period with effect from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 will be paid on or before September 30, this year.
As per the increased fee structure, in case of a land based casino with pan area up to 110 square metres – Rs 11 crore would be charged as against the earlier fee of Rs 10 crore.
Casino with an area above 110 square metres but up to 330 square metres will have to pay Rs 22 crore as against Rs 20 crore.
Casino with an area above 330 square metres but up to 550 square metres – Rs 27.5 cr are applicable and for casino with an area above 550 square metres but up to 825 square metres – Rs 36.2 crore.
Casino with an area above 825 square metres but up to 1,100 square metres – Rs 39.6 crore; casino with an area above 1,100 square metres – Rs 44 crore.
For a casino license of off-shore casino on board the vessel, of capacity up to 220 passengers – Rs 27.5 crore would be the new fees applicable as against earlier fees of Rs 25 crore.
