PANJIM: The State government is likely to extend the suggestions and objections for the Agriculture Policy for Goa, stated Director of Agriculture Nevil Alphonso.
The last date to file suggestions and objections is Wednesday, August 16. The Directorate of Agriculture has so far received 35 suggestions and objections to the draft policy.
When contacted, Alphonso said that the government may extend the deadline so as to allow the people to file their suggestions and objections, if any.
A decision will be taken by the 27-member committee headed by Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik, on Wednesday. The State government had earlier given 30 days to submit suggestions and objections to the Agriculture Policy for Goa.
