PANJIM: The State government has notified schemes announced under the Umbrella Scheme and State IT Policy. Incentives to industries for training prospective employees scheme aimed at supporting industries to provide demand driven short term training courses through recognised institutions to Goan youth to improve their employability has also been notified.
Reimbursement of 60% of training costs for prospective employees subject to a maximum of Rs 60,000 per employee and Rs 7,20,000 per unit per year will be given to the eligible units recommended by the Task Force Committee under the scheme.
“Only those courses conducted by the approved STPs will be considered for benefits under this scheme,” states the notification.
The government also notified other industry and entrepreneur promoting schemes such as Incentives to Green Investment scheme, Incentives to Encourage Purchases from Local Suppliers Scheme, Interest Subsidy Scheme etc.
