MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Beena Naik on Tuesday alleged that the BJP government is playing with the sentiments of the beneficiaries of the Ladli Laxmi scheme by issuing sanction orders which are now technically invalid.
He said that the government must stop fooling the beneficiaries and immediately tender an apology for issuing false and misleading letters to the beneficiaries.
Mahila President has written a letter to the Directorate of Women and Child Development as sanction orders for various beneficiaries of the Ladli Laxmi scheme are backdated, March 26, to June 18.
“These letters state that the beneficiaries must visit the office of the Director of Women and Child Development between 2 pm and 5 pm within 10 working days. It may be noted in many cases almost 3 months have already passed since the letter was issued,” pointed Beena.
“We demand that the government must immediately issue a notification revalidating all the letters sent to the beneficiaries and give them enough time to comply with the necessary formalities,” stated Beena.
