PANJIM: The State government has issued a draft notification proposing changes in remuneration of chairpersons and chairpersons and councillors of municipal councils.
As per the draft notification dated May 16, 2023, emolument of chairperson of Class A, B and C municipal councils has been increased from Rs 12,875, Rs 11,475 and Rs 10,800 to Rs 25,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
It is proposed to increase remuneration of councillors of all class of municipalities to Rs 18,000.
