PANJIM: The government is seeking to counter adverse publicity against it and has entrusted PROs of government departments and corporations and OSDs to Cabinet Ministers with this duty. As per the directions issued by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, a workshop will be conducted exclusively for such PROs and OSDs on June 1, in the Secretariat’s Seminar hall.
The workshop is aimed at enlightening the PROs/OSDs about their role and responsibilities and to act forthwith on the critical reports appearing in the mainstream media and to counter the adverse publicity against the government by disseminating the factual information to the print/electronic and social media platforms on day-to-day basis.
The Chief Minister will address PROs/OSDs on the occasion.
