A number of accidents in Goa are caused due to parking of heavy vehicles along the highways. Recently a woman died after she tried to avoid one such vehicle and was hit by a speeding vehicle from behind in Vasco. Vasco MLA requested that the adjoining land be acquired by the govt and used for parking.
The Goa Transport Minister said the problem is existing all over Goa and called on all MLAs to suggest if such adjoining Highway land can be acquired for parking to avoid accidents.
