VASCO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the government will choose the best alternate site for the ramp connection to the four-lane port connectivity project at Vasco.

After inspecting the sites along with the MLs and government officials, Sawant said that he had a detailed discussion with the officials on the ramp connection sites and on the two options available for the connection.

“The government will take the best decision for the betterment of Vasco and its residents,” he said.

Sawant said that he has directed the Traffic Police to study both the options and after finalising the best option, the government will immediately take a decision and implement the best option in the interest of the port town and its residents.

The Chief Minister also assured Cortalim MLA Anton Vas that works on the two market complexes in the CortalimConstituency would be expedited.

Vasco MLA Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar said that he had invited the Chief Minister to Vasco to personally inspect all the sites and the options available for the ramp doubling up as an exit from Vasco town.

He said that the all the options will be assessed and the best option will be chosen so as to avoid traffic congestion in the town in future.
