MARGAO: Urban Development Minister, Francis D’Souza said the government would come out with a solution to the demand raised by Cuncolim farmer Vishnu Desai for the return of the acquired agricultural field.
He told Herald during his visit to the District Collectorate on Friday evening that though the law does not permit return of acquired land to the owner or tenants, the government would come out with a solution to the satisfaction of the farmer. “I will soon discuss the matter with the Chief Minister, wherein a solution would be worked out to the satisfaction of the farmer. The government is seized of the issue”, D’Souza said.
