MARGAO: Once again, the demolition squad, south, played truant by failing to report at the site of a demolition at Telaulim village on Friday.
This is the third time that the demolition squad has failed to make it at the spot under one pretext or another. If the demolition squad could not make it to the venue of the demolition at the eleventh hour for want of PWD men and machinery, this time the squad called off the proposed demolition of a couple of illegal structures in a residential complex for want of police personnel. Demolition squad chairman Surendra Naik said that the operation has been postponed for want of police.
