MARGAO: South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha on Monday said that the Congress Party has been weakened by GPCC President Girish Chodankar. He said, “What Luizinho Faleiro had created has been lost by Girish.”
While speaking on the present state of Congress Party, Sardinha said that the senior leaders of Congress have already given their say and everybody is convinced that Girish has to go now.
He said, “Luizinho had got 17 MLAs of Congress elected in 2017 and had defeated BJP.” “Supporters of Congress don’t go anywhere, leaders go,” Sardinha added.
When asked about Adv Pratima Coutinho leaving Congress, Sardinha said that Congress is an ocean and fish swim and many go.
“It was better if she left the party earlier. Better late than never, the Congress Party, will never be affected by leaders leaving the party,” claimed Sardinha.
Sardinha said that Girish hasn’t won a single election and added that it’s time that he steps down.
