PANJIM: As per the State Health Department, over 1.09 lakh people in Goa have been vaccinated in the last three months.
As on March 27, 2021, a total of 45,215 people received their first dose of the vaccine in North Goa, whereas a total of 48,226 people received the first dose n South Goa. Similarly, in North Goa 9,720 people were administrated their second dose till March 27, whereas 6,443 people in South Goa were administrated the second dose.

It may be recalled that from March 1, 2021, the State had commenced the phase of vaccination for those who are over 60 years of age and for people aged 45 and above with specified comorbid conditions. Earlier, it was for healthcare and frontline workers. Now, the State government is preparing to open the immunisation programme for those above 45 years from April 1, 2021.
