“There were meetings over the past 15 days regarding a change in the GPCC president. I have no idea why the president was changed; it is the party’s decision,” Chodankar said.

His remarks come in the wake of the Congress party’s decision to appoint a new state president, a move that has sparked political discussions within party circles.

Chodankar refrained from speculating on the reasons behind the leadership change, reiterating that such decisions are taken by the party high command.

The leadership reshuffle is expected to play a key role in shaping the Congress party’s strategy in Goa ahead of upcoming political challenges.
