PANJIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) believes they can defeat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) aligns with them.
Speaking to the media, GSM President Anand Shirodkar said, “If we want to defeat BJP in Goa, we have to take MGP with us if they are ready to come. It is a political decision. We are sure to form government if MGP is with us.”
He added, “Our first objective is to come to power in the 2017 Assembly elections and the second is to defeat BJP. We will give an alternative government to Goa by taking all issues which are related to the common people.”
He said the party has kept open its doors to likeminded people who support the local language as the medium of instruction.
