GSM expects prominent leaders to join party soon

PANJIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM), a regional political party formed earlier this month, has completed its first State wide tour on Wednesday and said that many prominent leaders would be joining the party.

Party President Anand Shirodkar said GSM has received an overwhelming response from the people. “We have seen that BJP workers are not happy with the leadership which doesn’t allow them to grow,” he said.
Shirodkar said that a few people have monopolised the BJP which is why their workers and supporters are attracted to GSM. “In the coming 15 days many prominent leaders would be joining GSM along with their supporters.”
He said that Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is slowly fading away from Goa, with the BJP cadres gradually drifting away from the party. “The glamour that Parrikar enjoyed post the 2012 Assembly elections has faded. It is fading every passing day. The ground reality is that Parrikar is no more a hero for the people including BJP cadres,” he said.
