PANJIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) President Anand Shirodkar has stated that their alliance is firm with Sudin Dhavalikar as the Chief Minister of Goa.
Speaking to Herald, Shirodkar said, “We met MGP leader Sudin Dhavlikar and discussed about the plans of the alliance post-election results. GSM is confident to win five to a maximum six seats while MGP will win in 8-14 constituencies.”
“If we get the above mentioned number of seats on the day of election results, the alliance is all set to invite independent as well as likeminded party’s and once done our alliance of GSM-SS-MGP will form the next government,” said Shirodkar.
He further said that there were some other issues discussed at the meeting with MGP leader but before going ahead with those issues it was very important that we consult our party karyakartas.
“These issues are such that we have to discuss them with the karyakartas and get their views on the same and then get back to the MGP on what our party views are. We will wait and watch as how the results unfold and according to that we will plan future course of action” he added
The GSM President further added that “If by chance on the day of elections the alliance gets less number of seats or some other extreme situation arises, what will be the action during that time and what should the party do in such situation will also be discussed with all our karyakartas. This issue was also discussed at the meet”
“Whatever may be the equation we will remain firm in the alliance and back Sudin Dhavlikar as the Chief Minister and we are sure that the alliance will be forming the next government in Goa,” Shirodkar added
