GST ‘compensation’ for ‘The Kashmir Files’ approved by cabinet

PANJIM: The State Cabinet under Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday approved GST ‘compensation’ for the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, which was declared tax-free by the State government in March. 

Sawant said that the cabinet has given post facto approval for GST compensation for the film. 

The Goa government was among the six-BJP ruled States where the film was declared tax-free. 

The film released on March 11, depicts the exodus of the Kashimiri Pandit community from the valley in the 90s.

Cabinet also resolved to declare an area in Dharbandora taluka as industrial area for CMM logistic Pvt Ltd under Investment Promotion Board.
